La Quinta wants you to make a difference.

Join us for "Make a Difference Day." It is the nation's largest single day of volunteering, and the Coachella Valley is joining the movement for the first time. The United Way of the Desert is hosting the Tram Road Challenge Run and Walk event on Saturday, October 27.

To warm-up for the challenge, join La Quinta City Manager, Frank J. Spevacek, at Old Town La Quinta Embassy Suites for a "Practice" walk. It will be a 3.25 mile roundtrip walk up the Bear Creek Trail. Sign in at 6:30 a.m.  The warm-up event starts at 7:00 a.m.
