Nature Hikes/Walks: Saturdays beginning at 8 a.m.
February 20, 2016: Exploring Cahuilla Trails, Top of the Cove; An easy hike led by Hal Summers; Explore the alluvial fans around Bear Creek and find an old Indian Trail, and learn about locations of past Cahuilla campsites.
Offered by the City of La Quinta, Stewards of the Fred Wolff Nature Preserve, Santa Rosa & San Jacinto Mountains National Monument, and Friends of the Desert Mountains
Hikes and Walks meet at the Top of the Cove parking lot on Calle Tecate;
Bring 2 liters of water per person (more for longer, strenuous hikes), snacks, and lunch for longer hikes. Wear close-toed shoes, hat, and sunscreen.
