Nature Walks for Kids and Families: Saturdays beginning at 9 a.m.
January 9, 2016: Cove to Lake Cahuilla Family Hike; moderate 4.8 miles and 3-4 hours round trip, 330 ft. elevation gain.
Offered by the City of La Quinta, Stewards of the Fred Wolff Nature Preserve, Santa Rosa & San Jacinto Mountains National Monument, and Friends of the Desert Mountains
Bring 2 liters of water per person (more for longer, strenuous hikes), snacks, and lunch for longer hikes. Wear close-toed shoes, hat, and sunscreen.
