Veteran Recognition Program Nominations

The City is accepting nomination forms for our next Veteran Recognition Program scheduled on November 11.

The City of La Quinta is proud to be home to many distinguished Veterans from all branches of service. The Veteran Recognition Program is a great way to publicly acknowledge, honor, and pay a special tribute to those that served our country. This program collects, preservers, and recognizes the sacrifice and valiant efforts of American war Veterans by engraving their name, rank, and years of service into an art piece at the Civic Center Campus.

General Requirements:
1. Served our country in Active Duty.
2. Honorable separation from service.
(Please attach DD214 form, Honorable Discharge Certificate, or equivalent showing active service and honorable separation.)

Residency Requirements:
3a. ACTIVE MILITARY from 1953 and EARLIER
Must have been a past or current resident of La Quinta. 
(No minimum years)

3b. ACTIVE MILITARY from 1954 to PRESENT
Must have been a past or present resident of La Quinta for a minimum of 3 years.

Please include a picture of the nominee in service uniform, if possible.

Nomination forms are due Monday, September 16, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. The award ceremony is scheduled for 9am on Friday, November 11, 2016 at the City Hall Courtyard.
