Hike information
- Meet at the Top of the Cove at the corner of Calle Tecate and Avenida Madero
- This is a family event, minors must be accompanied by parent or guardian
- If you have a spare blacklight bring it along, we will have a few while supplies last
- Please bring water and wear close-toed shoes.

- This will include:
- “Birding at Night for Bats”
- Live monitoring session to identify bats that live in the La Quinta Cove
- "Sky Tours"
- Local astronomers will set up their telescopes so participants can enjoy the night sky and stargaze.
- Blacklight Wildlife Search
- When it becomes fully dark, we will use blacklights to search for various wildlife inhabiting the desert. Wildlife we may find includes: scorpions, tarantulas, lizards, geckos, spiders, owls, jackrabbits, snakes, and coyotes
