In observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday, City Offices Will Be Closed Thursday and Friday, November 28^th and 29^th. Inspections scheduled after 4:00 PM Wednesday the 27^th will be Performed Tuesday December 3^rd. Please plan accordingly for any related business that may need to be addressed during this time frame.

Per La Quinta Municipal Code Section 6.08.050, Thanksgiving is a Holiday and Disturbances by Construction Noises is Prohibited. It is a nuisance and it is unlawful, for any person to be engaged or employed, or for any person to cause any other person to be engaged or employed, in any work of construction, erection, alteration, repair, addition to, or improvement to realty. 

The Building Division is responsible for the administration and enforcement of building codes and ordinances for construction, use and occupancy within the City of La Quinta. This is accomplished through implementation of local, state and federal building, plumbing, mechanical and electrical codes. Building handles plan checks, the issuance of permits and continuous inspections of new construction, remodels, additions and demolition to existing residential and commercial structures located within the city.
