On November 19, 2019, the La Quinta City Council approved the formation of Short-Term Vacation Rental Program (STVRP) Ad-hoc Committee to evaluate City’s STVRP, including STVR historical information, outreach and marketing of the program, compliance and enforcement tools, streamlining the STVR license application process, potential program enhancements and new requirements. Following review of the City’s STVR Program, this Committee will provide critical advice and present recommendations to the City Council for consideration.
On February 3, 2020, the La Quinta City Council appointed 15 members to serve on the Committee for a period not to exceed 12 months. See appointed applicants below.
Meetings
Meetings will be held on the 1st Thursday of each month at 4:00 pm, at La Quinta City Hall, 78495 Calle Tampico, La Quinta and the tentative schedule is listed below. Meetings are open to the public and all interested residents and non-residents are encouraged to attend.

The minutes for the Short-Term Vacation Rental Program Ad-Hoc Committee meetings will not be available until they have been approved at the next regular meeting.

Committee Update - 12/16/2020
On December 3, 2020 the Committee concluded its deliberations and approved a final report of STVR Program recommendations which was presented to the City Council at the December 15, 2020 regular meeting.
