Meetings

Regular City Council meetings are held on the first and third Tuesday and usually begin at 4:00 p.m. unless otherwise posted.

If a Closed Session is scheduled, the meeting will begin at 3:00 or 3:30 p.m. Closed Sessions are not open to the public, but any decisions made in Closed Sessions will be announce during the open/public portion of the meeting.

Meeting Calendar

Meeting agendas and staff reports are typically available by 5:00 p.m. on the Friday prior to each meeting and may be downloaded by clicking on the desired meeting event below. To view a staff report, open the agenda and click on the item title.

Be aware that last minute changes are sometimes necessary and the City reserves the right to make changes to staff reports prior to the beginning of each meeting. The City also reserves the right to make changes to the order of items listed on the agenda.

Members of the public wanting to address the City Council, either for a specific agenda item or matters not on the agenda
may provide Verbal Public Comments in-person during the meeting. Please complete a "Request to Speak" form and file it with the City Clerk,
and limit your comments to 3 minutes (approximately 350 words).

Members of the public may submit Written Public Comments by emailing the City Clerk’s Office at CityClerkMail@LaQuintaCA.gov
prior to 12:00 p.m. on the day of the meeting.  Written public comments will be incorporated into the agenda packet and public record of the meeting, and will not be read during the meeting unless, upon the request of the Mayor, a brief summary of any public comment is asked to be read, to the extent the City Clerk’s Office can accommodate such request. 

If emailed, the email “subject line” must clearly state “Written Comments” and list the following:

1) Full Name      2) City of Residence      3) Phone Number 
 4) Public Comment or Agenda Item Number             5) Subject           6) Written Comments
